Accelerating Digital Transformation: Insights from the RSTG Conference
In May 2025, Essency took part in the Roads Services Training Group (RSTG) Conference, held in Mullingar. The event — organised under the Local Authority Services National Training Group (LASNTG) — brought together key stakeholders from across the Irish transport and infrastructure sectors. Essency was proud to share an exhibition stand with our trusted partner, Gaist.
The conference proved to be a highly productive platform for meaningful engagement, with many organisations expressing strong interest in better understanding and managing their road networks using digital data, asset management insights, and lifecycle modelling.
Continuing ongoing collaboration with a range of organisations, we are supporting a number of clients in developing a business case to initiate digital road condition surveys within their respective counties. This initiative is receiving strong backing from the Department of Transport, with the Roads Management Office (RMO) showing particular interest and providing partial funding support.
To build on this momentum, a dedicated one-day seminar has been arranged, where Essency and Gaist will present directly to representatives from the Department of Transport, RMO and TII.
The pace of progress in Ireland is accelerating, and we’re excited to see such strong alignment across local and national stakeholders as we move forward with digital transformation in road infrastructure management.
